Pinwheel card

I just love Youtube. I found this card and had to see how hard it would be to make. I actually found it pretty easy. It's called Faux Pinwheel card. I didn't add to much to the card, I wanted to focus on the pinwheel.

10 mos. layout

I attended and all day crop at the Crafting Place last Saturday the 19th. This is one of the layouts I did. I just got my clearance Stamping Up DSP called Sending Love #117153, so I used it on this layout of my baby girl. Its double sided so all I did is cut 4 strips of the same paper and flipped it, very cute paper. I also cut  the 10 mos. from Hello Kitty font Cricut cartridge and inked the edges. My friend Dawn also gave me these cute Prima flowers and brads to add a little softness to the page.

My daughters favorite color is PINK, and my son's favorite color is BROWN. so lately I have been using this color combination a lot.

Kid's request of the day

Well This is today's request from my kids. My son is so in love with the Pixar Cars characters. I made him Guido holding tires. I used Stampin' Ups Embossing folder called Square Lattice #119976 to give it a more real tire look. I think it worked perfect.  My daughter requested a Sally, so I made her one too. But for some reason Blogger is not allowing me to upload that photo. But she came out really cute. I put blue Stickles on her eyes, and yellow Stickles for her lights.
OK so I just tried again and it worked. Her she is. Can you see the sparkle in her eyes? LOL too cute. Corrina is still asleep, but when she wakes, she will be surprised. I used my MOST favorite Cricut crafting tool. my Gypsy. I love this thing, for anyone out there who owns a Cricut, should own a Gypsy. Love it.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Scallop Rag Tote

This is the very first tote I have ever made. I had my first workshop earlier this month and saw a sample of it, and had to try to make it myself. I used Stampin Up's Big Shot and Bigz Scallop Die. I was amazed at the simplicity of this. I am not a very experienced sewer, so I had a few simple issues to deal with, but once I got my rhythm, it came together very fast and easy. I would like to hold a workshop, and show how to make this great and simple tote. Please Email me if you are interested, and if I get enough people I can schedule a workshop. This would be a fun, afternoon project.

A card for a Soldier over seas

I found a card on Splitcoaststampers.com today, and I immediately thought of my cousin who is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Although I don't talk to him much, he is always in my thoughts and prayers. I am so proud of what he is doing for us Americans and for his own young family. Javi I miss you and pray for you every night. Love you Cuz, and take care.

I know it's been a while since I have posted something on my blog, but the last 2 weeks have been crazy for me, personally. I hope things start to go smoother from now on. I will try to post something every week if I am able to.

ave a great evening, and I hope you like my card.

Buzz Lightyear

My kids have been asking me to make them a Buzz Lightyear for a few days now, so yesterday I decided to go ahead and make them. They are easy to make but time consuming. So I started around 1pm and worked on them until I got hit with a really bad headache. So I did have to stop, which upset the kids a little bit. But they are to young to understand what was happening to me. I did manage to have all the layers cut at 9.4". I find it easier to do characters at a larger size, because of the small details like the eyes. To make them small makes it very challenging to assemble. I used my Gypsy to lay all the cuts out. I did use the Layers feature on the Gypsy, which makes it so much easier to design your project at once.

I did manage to finish putting it all together this morning for the kids, and they were really excited to get them on their doors.

I teach Gypsy 101 and Gypsy Advance classes  at the Crafting place. If you are interested in taking my class please call 702-845-2536 for information.

I also used Uni-Ball Signo Gel pen in white, scallop trim border punch. I hope you like it, I think it's really cute.  I am getting really excited for my workshop. Hope to see you there. Have a great day.

Stampin Up workshop treat

Today I decided to case a really cute treat purse from Erlinda. These are purses that hold a Hershey's Nugget. I have made some to put on the table of my first Stampin' Up workshop, that I am having on Feb. 13th at 3pm. If you would like to attend, please email me at cricutmomof2@gmail.com for information.

Corrina's Birthday Invites

My daughter just loves Cinderella, so this year her birthday party theme will be Cinderella of course. My poor baby really doesn't have  her first birthday until February 29th, 2012. So we have made an exception, to still have an annual party for her even though she is a Leap Year baby.  I used the Cricut Happily Ever After cartridge. I cut Cinderella at 5", she fits perfect in an A2 envelope. I can't wait to order her cake, Andy makes fantastic cakes for my family.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week-end. And for those of you watching the game, have a cold one for me.

Valentine's Goodie box

I was trying to create something cute for Valentines day, I used some left over Top Note Die cuts I had made. I added some punched out hearts to the bottom, using Stampin Up's little heart punch. I also cut the doves from Cricuts Sweethearts cartridge. I added a bit of Stickles to the heart. As you can tell That I love to use Stickles on my projects. I get my supply of Stickles from one of my favorite online stores,
http://www.webstore.com/13394,user_id,shop, you can find some great deals here for crafting supplies.

Wall Sign

This was this weeks craft project, that we started on Monday. I have been really busy and I finally got a chance to add the finishing pearls on it. I used Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge to cut out the foundation out of chipboard, which I purchased from ARC Paper. The Cardstock is from DCWV paper stack called Sweet. The letters I cut from Hello Kitty Cricut Font cartridge. The butterflies are from Martha Stewart punch. I punched 2  to make a fluttering butterfly. I added Stickles to the flowers along the bottom border and the the wings of the butterflies. I also added a Spring mix of Flower Soft for the body of the butterfly. The pearls are from good old Wally World (Wal-Mart). I am going to place this above the window, in front of my craft table.

The original one that I cut was to small, so I made one for my daughter to hang in her room. I hate to be wasteful, so this is what I came up with for her.

Corrina's favorite color is PINK. LOL
