New Arrival at the Monter Household

My husband and I thought we were done, but He surprised me with a wonderful bundle of JOY. He is such a wonderful Husband, he bought me the Cricut Expression 2 for my Mother's Day present. The Stork (UPS) delivered my package yesterday afternoon, and it's been killing me not to play with it. My 2 young children decided to take a nice nap for me, so I took advantage of the time and decorated my new arrival. I happen to have Cricut Green vinyl on hand :)  What do you think?

I did use my Gypsy for the Font cuts, but I cut the heart with the Cricut head from the Exclusive Cricut Decals cartridge. This cart was pre-loaded on the E2, so I was not able to use the Gypsy with that. I am amazed at all the new features the E2 came with. Provo Craft hit the nail on the head, when they designed this one. One feature that I wish it had, is the option to move your image around on the mat like you can with the Gypsy. Maybe that will come at a later update. I will try to cut some more stuff for you tomorrow, from the exclusive cartridges.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great Crafternoon :)

12 hour crop layouts

Good afternoon and Happy Sunday to you all. Yesterday I attended one of my regular crops at the Crafting Place. They hold 12 hour crops every second Saturday of every month. Well I managed to get some layouts done, but even just as important, I managed to catch up with some crafting buddies.
This first layout I did, is of my children playing in the playground at a local park here in Las Vegas.  I had seen a layout very similar to this on the internet, so I decided to case it.
I used my Cricut Expression and my trusted side kick the Gypsy. Love that gadget, never leave home with out it. I actually don't remember what Cartridges I used but, I guess that's OK. My friend Dawn gave me some quilled stickers, which I loved. I put the sunglasses on the sun and the flip flops on the caterpillar. She also gave me her rub-on faces to use. These are just the cutest things ever. I think.  My other friend Marion gave me some of her recollection flowers to use. Thank you guys for sharing with me.

This next layout was from a trip to Laughlin that we took. We went to go see the Laughlin Desert Challenge. This was a short week-end, so we took our travel trailer and parked it at the Avi Rv Park.
My husband got to see some trophy truck make some big jumps in the air. He was a happy guy, he just loves these kinds of races.

This next layout, I did of my daughter who at the time was only 11 months old. Her hair was always getting in her face, so I decided to take her in the get her bangs cut. What a difference this made, she no longer looked like cousin It from the Adam's Family. LOL but she was beautiful with or without long bangs. This was a very simple layout, because It was when I first arrived at the crop, so it took me  a little while to get my creative juices flowing.
I hope you like my layouts. It felt good to scrapbook again. I kind of strayed away for a little while, but I am back, my lovely scrapbooks. Hope to get another layout done this week, if all goes well.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead, and thank you for stopping by.

Colored Pebbles

Hello Everyone again, this is exciting, my Friend Teri from Heart2Home has added this great new product to her online store. They are colored pebbles that can be used for many crafting projects. I absolutely love how she markets these. They are in their own individual clear tubes, so you can easily see the colors. She also sell a great little stand to display them in. This is going to look great on my crafting table. I placed my order, and I can't wait to get them.
Here is a sample of what I did with a clear pebble sample she gave me. But you can use these on anything.

They add great dimension and color.

Please stop by her Webstore and check out all the colors she carries.
If you place an order for these great pebbles, tell her Lisa sent you.

Thank you for stopping by today

Disney/Pixar Mator

Happy Friday everyone. My 4 year old son just absolutely loves Mator from the movie Cars. Well I have 2 hobbies, 1st papercrafting/scrapbooking/card making and sewing. The sewing is a newer hobby for me. I alternate every month so I can dedicate equal time to both hobbies. Well when it was time for paper crafting, my son gets really excited. He saw me take my Cricut Expression out of my cabinet and put it on my craft table. He ran to my cabinet where I store a few frequently used cartridges and takes out the Cars cartridge. He then goes to my other cabinet and pulls out brown card stock. Hands them both to me and says can you make Mator for me,"here's the cartridge and paper". So I finally said OK. this is what I made him. I did use my trusted Gypsy to lay everything out before cutting. I cut him at 7.85" He did come out big, but perfect for his door. I hope you like it.

I hope you all have a wonderful week-end. I know I will, this is my crafting week-end. So I will craft til my hearts content.
Have a great week-end, and Happy Crafting

Butterfly Punch Pansy Card

Well today was a good day, got a little craft time in. This is what I made. My friend told me that you can make pansies with a Stampin Up butterfly punch. I was surprised, that you can make a beautiful flower with a butterfly. So of course I Youtubed it, and I found a great tutorial by itsaninkinstampede.wordpress.com
this was a very easy to follow tutorial. The card, I had seen before in the card section of a store, I just changed it a bit.

The grass portion, I used a scallop border punch along with a star punch. I just randomly punched just the tip of the star in the center of each scallop. I had seen this technique a while ago. I wish I could remember from who, so I can give proper credit to.
I hope you like this quick card, and try it for your self.

My First Tri-Shutter Card Attempt

Well Hello there again, Happy Friday to everyone. I finally have a home that is sick-free, wooohooo.
I have seen this style of card on many blogs and I just thought it was so beautiful and unique. So I decided to attempt to make it. OMG! The card base is very simple, I will give you the dimensions at the end of this post. My 3 yr.old and 4 yr. old helped me stamp the flower petals, they thought they were the coolest, because they were helping Mom. I did use most supplies from Stampin Up, but there are a couple of things that are not. I  as usual, forgot to make a list of supplies, I just got caught in the moment of creating. What do you think? I would love to read your comments.

Card base dimensions 5 1/2 x12" card stock. Score at 2",4",8",and 10"on the 5 1/2" side. Then with your paper trimmer on the long 12" side ,measure 1 1/2" then cut from the 2" score line to the 10" score line, then flip your paper and repeat. Fold it like an accordion style. Then once it's folded take the large center section and fold it the opposite direction. Please see picture below, to see how it folds.
If you have any questions please fell free to contact me.

I hope you have a wonderful week-end and Happy Crafting.

 Talk to you soon
