The Wheelers Prayer

Hello there my crafty friends. I hope you are all doing well and getting crafty. I have, I've been making a lot of Christmas gifts lately. Unfortunately I can't post them until I give the gifts out. lol So you will have to wait and see them.  Today I made a cool gift for my husband, but I think I am going to give it to him early, well because I HAVE to share it now!! lol I hope he likes it.

I have been using my Pazzles machine more and more lately. But unfortunately my computer keeps freezing up on my. But I was able to cut this Wheelers prayer out with very few glitches.

My husband and I love to go 4 wheeling  when ever we get a chance. I saw this on the internet a long time ago, and I saved the picture. I am so happy that I did. He will think its funny.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you all have a great day.

Trendy Twine Challenge

Hello there, my crafty friends.  I know that I have been missing in action, but I'm back.
I have seen so many very cool challenges and I always want to enter them, but I tend to doubt myself a little.

Well, today I decided to go a head and bite the bullet and just enter. So I created this really cute snowman tag. He is just made up of 6 different size circle punches.  I embossed it with the Divine swirls folder with my cuttlebug. I also added 2 of my most favorite products, Trendy Twine
( Candy Cane) and Stickles.
I have him on my tree now, since I don't have a gift wrapped yet to put him on, so I can't wait to start wrapping, plus it looks better with the tree in the background than my messy table lol.

I hope you like my little Snowman, Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Cricut Challenge 33

Hello there, I hope you are having a great Sunday. I am off to a late start today, but I'm here now. Last week was very weird for my household. I woke up Thursday morning with and overwhelming dizzy feeling. I could not stand up or function, it finally went away Friday evening. Saturday we decided to do a little late Spring cleaning, boy that was a lot of work and we didn't even finish. My son Anthony woke up yesterday with a slight fever, so we fought that all day. I actually got a little scared when it got up to 103.2, but it didn't stay there very long after a Popsicle, some jello and a cool bath along with some Motrin. This morning he woke up just fine. Thank God for that.  Enough about me.

Here is my quick post for this week since I really had no time to craft at all. This layout took me all of 20 minutes. It's very simple but cute I think. I used some brads that I had purchased oh let me think about 6 years ago when I first got started with Scrapbooking. lol I guess you can call them vintage now lol. I used The Performance Stack by DCWV. I bought this paper stack last year in El Paso Texas with my Aunt. Oh how I miss her!!! In the pictures my son was a little over 2 years old. He was playing my husbands ukulele that we got on our honeymoon in Hawaii in 2005. So this has so many memories for me. My son is now almost 6 years old. I hope you like my layout today. I am realy hoping that I get to craft this coming week. If all goes well.

Cricut cartridge I used
Phrases  "You make me Smile" because my son has a contagious smile.

Thank you for stopping by today, have a wonderful day.

Cricut Challenge 31

I really haven't had much time to craft lately, but I am still trying to participate is die cut swaps. For the month of June there were 2 swaps I signed up for. The themes are Patriotic and BBQ. You have to make a 4" inch cut for each theme.
For the BBQ theme I made a hot dog (above). It wasn't my first choice, but I like the hot dogs better than the first set of cuts I made.
Below was my first set of cuts. It's an apple pie slice, but for some reason it just didn't work for me. So my swap partners are getting a slice anyways lol.

For my patriotic cut I made a Home of the Brave. While I was making this I was thinking of my cousin Javi who was in 29 Palms Calif. for a training mission. So this cut really hit home for me. You see my cousin was in Afghanistan for 6 months in 2010. He missed several holidays with his very young family. Now when I say very young he had to leave shortly after his second son was born. I am truly proud of him and all of our service men and women. They're all in my prayers every night.  I love you Javi.

Cartridges I used:

Hot Dog                           Fast Food Lite  at 2"

Home of the Brave           Stand and Salute at 4"

Pie Slice                            From my Kitchen

Cricut Book Organization

Hi there, I wanted to share a organization project that I found on Pinterest. You can find the tutorial here , I just used Photo boxes from Michael's Instead. The plastic boxes in the tutorial are from Staples and are too expensive for me at $11.99 each. The boxes at M's were $1.84 after tax and my moms teacher discount. What a deal. I had to use 6 boxes to accommodate the 231 cartridges I own.
I also used plain card stock to make the file folders and the tabs. In the process of organizing my Cricut Booklets in alphabetical order, I found that I am missing 18 cartridges. This sickens me but, It's my own fault for not writing down who I lent them too. I call it a hard and expensive lesson learned.
Here is a close up of 1 box (below)

I hope you like my post today. It took me about 2 weeks  to complete this project and well worth the work. I am now using more carts than before. I would have to sneak in my daughters room at night and get my totes out from under her bed while she is asleep. Now I have the books in my craft room and the carts in my Gypsy. Much easier for me.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me. I would really love to hear your comments and suggestions.

Cricut Challenge 28

This is the last page of my book. This is where I will add pictures of the class and a picture of my kids individually. I didnt put them in yet because I didn't want to put photos of the other kids without permission of their parents.

This will be a long post sorry, I will put a picture of the entire book here so you can see it all together.

Here is part 2 of my post

Well this was a true challenge for me. My husband is the absolute hardest person to surprise. When I try to surprise him, it always gets spoiled. But This year I finally managed to get him something that he has always wanted and surprised him.  This is the cover I got for his new Ipad in his favorite color. I added vinyl to it, to remind him that he is a great father to our 2 wonderful children. By the way, when he opened it, he was really surprised and happy.

The cart I used for the vinyl decal is
Father's Day Solutions cart.

This project is very special to me, I started it a week before the crop but really had no time to devote to it to complete it. So I took it to Faith , as usuall I had no plan for it, I kind of just let it fall into place. And it did just that for me. It took me almost the 2 full days to work on creating this book and another one just like it.  My kids end of Pre-School year is hear and I thought about making these for the teachers for a Thank you for teaching my kids. Cricut Challenge 24

Hello there and Happy Sunday to you all. This year I decided to make my Mothers Day gifts for my Mother and Mother-in-Law. My friend Dawn from scrapping the happening, made this adorable kit, so I had to buy one (of course) You can find her blog Here , she has some great gift ideas for sale.  This particular basket I made in the above picture is my version of her kit. I got permission from her to duplicate it and I am very happy that she let me. It's such a great idea for any holiday.

 The Cricut Cartridge I used
Mothers Day Bouquet  for the flowers
SU top note and border punch
Cinch
SU white Twine
Martha Stewarts Monarch Butterfly punch
Misc. buttons
Scotch Liquid glue

In addition to the baskets, I also made cards that were inspired by Pinterest. I made 2 slightly different versions of it.

This one is for my Mother, I hope she likes it.

In the picture below is Dawn's Basket kit and my card for my Mother-in-Law

The flowers were all cut from dies. The centers of the flowers I added pebbles from Heart To Home. You can find her Etsy store Here

Cricut Challenge 23

Hello there, and Happy Sunday to you all. This week I have been on a major card making kick. Well because I needed to make a lot of cards. This first one above is a cute Birthday card for Logan. I really had no idea of what I was going to make so I started with just Mickey and built it from there. I hope he likes it.

I used Cricut Cartridges
Mickey and friends for the Mickey
Mickey Font for the wording
Teardrop  for the balloons
Black and white twine for the string on the balloons. ( thank god I saved my scraps of twine)

Here are the rest of the cards I made this week.

This one was inspired by a Pinterest post I saw:

This one below, I found a pic that I copied on the Internet. I actually hand cut this one, so no Cricut or Pazzles for this card. I did add some squares to this card after I took the picture, it just needed something else.

This one below, is for my husbands co-workers wife. She recently had a Baby Girl weighing over 10 LBS. Yikes!!!!!! I just love Twine (Strawberry Cupcake)

This one below, is another Pinterest inspired card. I added some chalk to the embossed flowers and stems.

This card below, I did with the new Martha Stewart Punches from HSN. They send you a cute sample project to get you started.  I liked it so much that I had to make it for a close and Dear friend of mine. It didn't come out perfect but it's still pretty.

I hope you like my cards. Thanks for stopping by and visiting me. Have a wonderful day

Cricut Challenge 22

Happy Sunday to you, I hope you are doing well. This week I made a single page layout to share with you. My kids have the Little Tykes cars and love to play with them, even to this day at age 4 & 5. I had remembered that I had seen a layout before with the little cars on it, so I decided to look for the cart among the many that I stashed under my daughters bed. LOL This is what I came up with.

Cartridges I use are :

B is for Boys Lite for the cars and the keys
Disney Pixars Cars for the street (I welded 6 street pieces together to get each corner street)
Boys will be Boys for the initials on the car.
Pebbles by Heart To Home
Stampin Up dimensionals

Lady in Red

Good afternoon,  I just realized that I forgot to do my post. Yesterday I got to work the Rubberstamp and Scrapbook Expo at the Texas Station. I cleaned out some of my crafting supplies that I either don't use or didn't want anymore. I went with 3 totes and 3 boxes plum full. I came home with about 10% of what I took with me. I made a good chunk of crafting change for new supplies LOL. I was a lot of fun to see new and long time crafters there.

Back to my craft post. This week, I have been trying to get to know my new machine Pazzles. And I am finding that the more I play with it, the more I am loving it. I will continue with the Cricut Challenge next week. But as for now, this layout I made with a free cutting file I got on the Pazzles Craftroom website. It literally took me 1/2 hour to make this.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me. Talk to you soon.

Cricut Challenge 21

Happy Sunday to you all, I hope your enjoying this crazy weather we are having. Yesterday I had a little time to craft, in between laundry and taking care of my kids. This week I made a layout , that I have been meaning to do for a long time. In January of 2010 we went to Bartstow California to visit my husbands Uncle Rex and Aunt Alice. Well they have lots of boy toys and my son was in heaven. So we took him out to the back yard to let him try out all the tractors. Well Corrina had to get in the action too. So I got some great pics of both of them playing with the tractors.
This first L/O above is of Corrina.

This L/O above is of Anthony and Uncle Rex. I really like how this second L/O came out. I might just have to redo Corrina's a bit.

The cart I used is Boys Will Be Boys

I also Used Tim Holtz Gear die

I recently got a new machine called Pazzles. Which I absolutely LOVE. So I will be posting projects from both my Cricut and Pazzles. This decal above I cut using the Pazzles. A few of my fellow Jeepers went to MOAB for the annual Easter Jeep Safari. We could not go :(.  But they took lots of pictures and share it with our R-Jeeps Facebook page. So it was like we were there with them.
Well They couldn't find a decal in MOAB that they liked, so they asked me if I could make one for them. Well this is what I made and they liked it.  I just love working with Vinyl, I especially love seeing my work on several Jeeps around the Las Vegas Valley. I am hoping that some day I will have a small Vinyl Decal business going. I know I am on the right track.

Thank you for stopping by, see you next week.

P.S. I love you Rex My wonderful Husband, without your support I would not be here posting my crafts. You're the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cricut Challenge 20

Hello there, I hope you are all doing well on this wonderful Easter Sunday, I am.  This year we decided to step away from the tradition of Easter candy , instead we bought the kids Scooters to encourage more outside play instead of cavities. We also hid some plastic eggs for them to hunt for but instead of candy we filled them with quarters for their piggy banks. They were just as happy as if it was candy. So my husband and I are very happy at their reactions.

This week I participate in a Cricut Die Cut Swap on Facebook again. The theme was Easter/Spring, using Apple,Grape, and Blueberry (any variation of those colors) So here is my cut. I chose the Granny smith green since its my favorite apple.

Cart I used
Kate's ABC's and cut at 4"

Thank you for stopping by on this wonderful holiday.

Have a great day

Cricut Challenge 19

Good morning and Happy Sunday to you all.  I had a great night sleep last night, after 4 straight nights of insomnia. I have no idea what was up with that. I hope that little phase is over.

A couple of weeks ago, we went on a fantastic Mojave Trail ride, which took us 3 days to complete. There were a total of 5 Jeeps on the adventure. My husband and I were the only ones who had a Trail Safety Flag. Which made it easier for our group members to see us over all the Cacti and brush in the middle of nowhere. So at a quick stopping point we all got out to stretch our legs and take pics, someone suggested we all should have the trail flags for saftey. Well my husband and I looked at each other, and I said I could do that. So we came home and I went to the fabric store and bought 5 colors of nylon flag fabric. I also dusted off my YuDu machine. I cut out our club Logo in black cardstock and burned it to the YuDu screen.  The above picture is the end results. I found out that screening nylon is much harder than I thought it would be. But after all said and done, they came out great.

The carts I used are
Dude for the Mountain image
Plantin School Book for the wording.

I hope you like my project this week. Have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is what I came up with. Making cards with the Cricut is a challenge for me as I can do them much better with Stamps. But I like the way it came out. I hope you like it too.

 The carts I used are
Bloom for the flowers
Easter 2010 for the Spring title.

Week 17 Cricut Challenge

Today is going to be a short post because this week has been really crazy busy.  I hope your day is going good. Mine is going good, getting as many chores done before my Hubby goes back to work tomorrow.

Recently I took my kids to a lung specialist for their breathing issues. Well my daughter is now on 4 different meds and my counter was looking crazy cluttered with RX's. So I went to the Dollar store and bought some containers and labeled them with Vinyl. This makes it so much easier to give everyone their meds without getting confused.

The cart I used was Base

Corrina's Birthday

Well hello there my crafty friends, as most of you know I have been recovering from surgery. I am so amazed at how well I am doing. This modern medical technology is amazing. It's only been 9 days since my surgery and all is well.  Well, while I was recovering I did manage to get some crafting done for my Beautiful daughters Leap Year birthday party. I ordered this beautiful cake from my friend Andy. He always makes our cakes to celebrate birthdays and wedding anniversaries. He has an amazing talent. Thank you so much Andy.
Here are my daughters finished Birthday invites. These were all pieced together using Cricut, Core'dination card stock and Bazill card stock. Adhesive I used is Xyron runner and Scotch liquid glue for the rhinestones. Wow, lets just say the bling took me a long time to apply. The bling is from M's Recollection's.

These are my first attempt ever to make candy. Boy I thought this would be a quick process but I was wrong. I still had fun making them. It took trial and error, but eventually I got it. I had to make 20+ of these. I hope the kids like them. I made these 2 days after my surgery wow right?! They came out so cute and match her theme. The punch and the sentiment are from Stampin Up and the twine I bought from Heart to Home. The twine is a lime green and white twist, you can hardly see it in the picture but it looks great.

Here is the banner that I made for My sweet Princess. Teri helped me assemble each section, Thank you Teri.  The bling I got from Heart to Home. this was my first banner too. We are decorating the back yard now, and we are having fun. Everything is falling into place perfectly.

I hope you like my post for today. I will be back later, got a lot of things to do still to get ready for the party. I would love to read your comments on this project.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
