Hello there, I hope you are having a great Sunday. I am off to a late start today, but I'm here now. Last week was very weird for my household. I woke up Thursday morning with and overwhelming dizzy feeling. I could not stand up or function, it finally went away Friday evening. Saturday we decided to do a little late Spring cleaning, boy that was a lot of work and we didn't even finish. My son Anthony woke up yesterday with a slight fever, so we fought that all day. I actually got a little scared when it got up to 103.2, but it didn't stay there very long after a Popsicle, some jello and a cool bath along with some Motrin. This morning he woke up just fine. Thank God for that. Enough about me.
Here is my quick post for this week since I really had no time to craft at all. This layout took me all of 20 minutes. It's very simple but cute I think. I used some brads that I had purchased oh let me think about 6 years ago when I first got started with Scrapbooking. lol I guess you can call them vintage now lol. I used The Performance Stack by DCWV. I bought this paper stack last year in El Paso Texas with my Aunt. Oh how I miss her!!! In the pictures my son was a little over 2 years old. He was playing my husbands ukulele that we got on our honeymoon in Hawaii in 2005. So this has so many memories for me. My son is now almost 6 years old. I hope you like my layout today. I am realy hoping that I get to craft this coming week. If all goes well.
Cricut cartridge I used
Phrases "You make me Smile" because my son has a contagious smile.
Thank you for stopping by today, have a wonderful day.

Cricut Challenge 31
I really haven't had much time to craft lately, but I am still trying to participate is die cut swaps. For the month of June there were 2 swaps I signed up for. The themes are Patriotic and BBQ. You have to make a 4" inch cut for each theme.
For the BBQ theme I made a hot dog (above). It wasn't my first choice, but I like the hot dogs better than the first set of cuts I made.
Below was my first set of cuts. It's an apple pie slice, but for some reason it just didn't work for me. So my swap partners are getting a slice anyways lol.

For my patriotic cut I made a Home of the Brave. While I was making this I was thinking of my cousin Javi who was in 29 Palms Calif. for a training mission. So this cut really hit home for me. You see my cousin was in Afghanistan for 6 months in 2010. He missed several holidays with his very young family. Now when I say very young he had to leave shortly after his second son was born. I am truly proud of him and all of our service men and women. They're all in my prayers every night. I love you Javi.
Cartridges I used:
Hot Dog Fast Food Lite at 2"
Home of the Brave Stand and Salute at 4"
Pie Slice From my Kitchen

Well this was a true challenge for me. My husband is the absolute hardest person to surprise. When I try to surprise him, it always gets spoiled. But This year I finally managed to get him something that he has always wanted and surprised him. This is the cover I got for his new Ipad in his favorite color. I added vinyl to it, to remind him that he is a great father to our 2 wonderful children. By the way, when he opened it, he was really surprised and happy.
The cart I used for the vinyl decal is
Father's Day Solutions cart.

Hello there and Happy Sunday to you. This weeks post is of a Die Cut Swap I participate in. We have to make 8 of the same die cut with the Cricut. The theme was graduation lol, can you tell.
These are my little graduates for the swap. They are cut at 4"
The cartridge I used was the Recess Lite
This is another swap cut for a wedding themed swap. This was also cut at 4"
I used the Tie The Knot cartridge.
This is a Vinyl decal I made for Cecy to advertise the Jewelry she sells. This was truely a big challenge for me. I made this with my Pazzles. I actually made this with a lot of indiviual shapes and welding. Its really hard to see the wording because it's in white vinyl.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me. Have a great day.

Cricut Challenge 25
Good Morning to you all. Evey year I attend a wonderful crop. I get to just craft for 2 days straight. Last week-end was the Faith crop and I had so much fun. I saw some crafters I haven't seen in a long time and it was great to catch up with all of them.
This project is very special to me, I started it a week before the crop but really had no time to devote to it to complete it. So I took it to Faith , as usuall I had no plan for it, I kind of just let it fall into place. And it did just that for me. It took me almost the 2 full days to work on creating this book and another one just like it. My kids end of Pre-School year is hear and I thought about making these for the teachers for a Thank you for teaching my kids. I sure do hope the like it.
Ok here are the details of the front Cover
Cartridges I used:
Recess Cricut Lite for the School house door

Cricut Challenge 24
Hello there and Happy Sunday to you all. This year I decided to make my Mothers Day gifts for my Mother and Mother-in-Law. My friend Dawn from scrapping the happening, made this adorable kit, so I had to buy one (of course) You can find her blog Here , she has some great gift ideas for sale. This particular basket I made in the above picture is my version of her kit. I got permission from her to duplicate it and I am very happy that she let me. It's such a great idea for any holiday.
The Cricut Cartridge I used
Mothers Day Bouquet for the flowers
SU top note and border punch
Cinch
SU white Twine
Martha Stewarts Monarch Butterfly punch
Misc. buttons
Scotch Liquid glue
In addition to the baskets, I also made cards that were inspired by Pinterest. I made 2 slightly different versions of it.
This one is for my Mother, I hope she likes it.
In the picture below is Dawn's Basket kit and my card for my Mother-in-Law
The flowers were all cut from dies. The centers of the flowers I added pebbles from Heart To Home. You can find her Etsy store Here
Thank you for letting me share my projects with you this week. Sorry for the quality of the photos, I took them with my phone.

Hello there, and Happy Sunday to you all. This week I have been on a major card making kick. Well because I needed to make a lot of cards. This first one above is a cute Birthday card for Logan. I really had no idea of what I was going to make so I started with just Mickey and built it from there. I hope he likes it.
I used Cricut Cartridges
Mickey and friends for the Mickey
Mickey Font for the wording
Teardrop for the balloons
Black and white twine for the string on the balloons. ( thank god I saved my scraps of twine)
Here are the rest of the cards I made this week.

This one was inspired by a Pinterest post I saw:
This one below, I found a pic that I copied on the Internet. I actually hand cut this one, so no Cricut or Pazzles for this card. I did add some squares to this card after I took the picture, it just needed something else.
This one below, is for my husbands co-workers wife. She recently had a Baby Girl weighing over 10 LBS. Yikes!!!!!! I just love Twine (Strawberry Cupcake)
This one below, is another Pinterest inspired card. I added some chalk to the embossed flowers and stems.
This card below, I did with the new Martha Stewart Punches from HSN. They send you a cute sample project to get you started. I liked it so much that I had to make it for a close and Dear friend of mine. It didn't come out perfect but it's still pretty.
I hope you like my cards. Thanks for stopping by and visiting me. Have a wonderful day

Cricut Challenge 22
Happy Sunday to you, I hope you are doing well. This week I made a single page layout to share with you. My kids have the Little Tykes cars and love to play with them, even to this day at age 4 & 5. I had remembered that I had seen a layout before with the little cars on it, so I decided to look for the cart among the many that I stashed under my daughters bed. LOL This is what I came up with.
Cartridges I use are :
B is for Boys Lite for the cars and the keys
Disney Pixars Cars for the street (I welded 6 street pieces together to get each corner street)
Boys will be Boys for the initials on the car.
Pebbles by Heart To Home
Stampin Up dimensionals

Cricut Challenge 14
Hello there, I hope you are all doing ok. I am doing good and so are my kids, finally.
This weeks challenge was encouraged by my 5 year old son. Everyday when I take my kids to preschool, I have to pass a few school zones and crosswalks. Well everyday I get so angry at the amount of parents who totally ignore the school zones and crosswalk laws. Even knowing that there have been so many crosswalk deaths here in the Vegas valley. So on a regular basis you will hear me honk my horn in hopes that they will realize they are speeding right by an elementary school. But as usual it never works. And sometimes you'll hear me scream "SERIOUSLY" or "ARE YOU KIDDING ME". well my son always asks me why I do that, so I explained to him why. A few days later he then says to me about an hour before school, can you make me a sign? I of course am curious, sure son, what kind of sign. So he goes where some of my Cricut Cartridges are stored and picks out Something to Celebrate. He brings it to me and points to the Crosswalk sign. I said sure I can make that for you. But Anthony why do you want a Crosswalk sign, he said " that way when you take me to school I can put it out the window near the school so it reminds people to slow down. It's pretty sad when a 5 year old can have that much common sense put grown adult parents don't.
So please parents and non-parents, remember to slow down and pay attention to the crosswalks. It may be your child.
The cart I used was the Something to Celebrate
I was able to cut all the layers on 1 mat with my Gypsy Yay!!

Cricut Challenge 13
Hello there my crafty friends, hope you are having a wonderful day, I know I am. :)
This weeks Challenge is the New Year for 2010. This particular picture has great meaning to me. I know it just looks like the moon with a tree in front of it. To me, it was my Father In Law. You see he was a very brave and strong man that I loved like my own father. He had lost his battle with pancreatic cancer December 15th, 2009. This was the first New Year not seeing him and it was hard for all of us. This picture was taken in front of his house on New Years. For some reason I could not keep my eyes off the moon this New Years morning. It really felt as if I was looking up at him. We miss him so much.
For this I only used StoryBook Cricut Cartridge for the Journal tag with a shadow.
I hope you like my challenge, Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

Cricut Challenge 12
Hello there and Happy Sunday to you all. I hope you are having a great week-end. I have had a ruff one, got hit with a migraine. But I survived, thanks to my wonderful friend and neighbor. She helped me with my kids during my headache.
Well this year I have to buckle down and catch up with my scrapbooks. I have decided to work on the same month for the 2010,2011 and 2012. But each year will have their own layouts for the books. I'm going to try this, hopefully it works.
This layout was at Disney on Ice. The kids were finally old enough to really enjoy and get excited about the show.
The cartridges I used on this are:
Mickey Font for the wording
Cars for the street cut out ( welded several tracks together to simulate an oval track)
This last pic is of the back of my layout. I'm sure most of you know of this little trick, but I'm posting it anyway for those who don't. What I did is, I matted the red on black, so I cut a square on the inside portion of the back card stock that won't be seen out. and I used the inside cutout portion for my mats on my photos. This was I save some of my card stock, and no-one will ever know hehehehe. Well you know that I did that because I am showing you a pic, but SHHHHHHHH don't tell NON-Crafters.
I hope you like my post and leave me some comments or suggestions. Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day

Hello there, I hope you are doing well. I have started to work on a banner for my daughters Leap Year birthday, I have never made one before, so this is new to me. This is a sample I came up with so far. I am not 100% satisfied with it yet so I'm going to continue to cut more things out and see if I like it better.
The carts I used for this are:
Art Philosophy for the banner and topper ( I love this cart)
Hello Kitty for the Font
This is going to take a while for me to complete. It's a good thing I am starting early lol.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Cricut Challenge week 10
Hello there my crafty friends. I hope you all had a wonderful New Years, we sure did. I know this is a little late, but we were off in the mountains have family fun for the new year.
Anyways this week I was planning on doing a layout for you but suddenly changed my mind. My daughter will be having a birthday on Feb. 29th (leap year). So I got motivated to get started on her invitations and decorations for her party. Since I don't really have a consistent craft time every day or even weeks sometimes. I figure it's best for me to get started now, so I can make sure they are done in time.
My daughters favorite color is pink so I decided to incorporate it in making her a Leap Year themed party. My good friend Teri from Heart2Home sent me an email with a sample invite, and I liked it very much. But I had to change it up a bit to fit my daughters birthday theme. I was suggested to do a leap frog, which I loved. That's why you will see this absolutely cute frog on the invite.
The carts that I used are:
Sugar & Spice Lite for the scallop circles
Paisley for the frog
Paper is from Cordination Lipstick and green apple. Bazzil paper is serinade (light lavendar)
Glam Pink Stickles,Xyron Glue runner
I hope you like this weeks challenge post.
See you soon

Week 5 Cricut Challenge
Good morning and Happy Sunday to you all again. This weeks challenge was pretty easy for me. A good friend of mines children are celebrating a birthday. The party is monkey themed,so with that I chose to use Cricut's Create A Critter cartridge. We will be attending their birthday party this afternoon, I am sure the kids are going to have a blast monkeying around hehehehe. I put the single page layout in a shadow box that I purchased at Michael's. The frame looked just a little to plain for me, so I decided to bring it to life. I got some scrap vinyl and made just a few stickers for the outside. I love how it turned out. I hope the Birthday kids love it, and their mother too. I might just have to make another one for my 2 little monkeys lol.
Here is my second project. My good friend Teri Schoeni from Heart2Home made a glue holder for me. I think she got tired of me complaining that my glue always tips over on me when I stand it upside down. So she came up with this great holder for me. When I got it, it was just raw wood. I tried several attempts to decorate it but it just didn't look right to me. Well it would help if I also new what I was doing when decorating wood. So I finally had a light bulb moment and figured it out. once I got it covered with paper, I decided to add a little vinyl touch to it. I love vinyl, can you tell. I used Gypsy Wonderings on my Gypsy. I cut a silhouette of a boy and a girl to represent my kids. I also cut Inspire, well because I like to get inspired when I'm crafting. and the last one is Bliss, because crafting is blissful to me. I just love my new holder. I like that I can use several different types of bottles of glue and stickles. Thank you Teri. You can find a link to her Etsy shop at the bottom of my blog.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my Blog. Have a wonderful crafty day.

Cricut Challenge week-2
Good Morning and a Very Happy Sunday to you all. This week-end has been absolutely great. I got to go to a 2 day crop and had a great Mommy's 2 days off. I got a lot accomplished. I will share pictures of that later. So I was really Motivated to create my 2nd weeks challenge. While my Husband watched football, I sat next to him with my Lovely Gypsy. I designed the entire layout using the Layers feature. I separated each cut by color then cut it all with the E-2. The Cartridges I used were:
3 Birds on Parade- for the moon,I inked the edge with Only Orange Ink to give it dimension.
Happy Hauntings-for the bats and the Happy Halloween
October 31st -Spider,Tree,Cat,Witch,Gates and tombstones
Chic & Scary for the pumpkins
Plantin SchoolBook - Grass
The pumpkins were a last minute add on because I received the cart in the mail lol. They are not adhered to the page yet because I'm not sure if I want to keep them on it or not. I did take a picture without them, but it came out too blurry and I'm on a time limit here. Yes I know I'm addicted to Cricut Carts, well with crafting in general.
I hope you like my Layout and challenge for this week.
Thank you for stopping by and have a Crafty afternoon.
